Recorded during their American Tour in late 1969, Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out! Was released largely to counteract the effect of the bootleg live’r than you’ll ever be, and centered around live versions of material from the Beggars Banquet-Let It Bleed era. Often acclaimed as one of the top live rock albums of all time, its appeal lies in versions that are reasonably different from the studio ones, especially the long workout of “Midnight Rambler,” with extended harmonica solos and the unforgettable section where the pace slows to a bump-and-grind crawl. An outstanding album, and certainly the Stones’ best official live recording. Product Reviews Hide Show Write a Review

The Rolling Stones in Concert” is a live album by The Rolling Stones, released on September 4, 1970. This album captures the raw energy and dynamic performances of the band during their 1969 American tour, specifically from their shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 27 and 28, 1969. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest live rock albums of all time and showcases The Rolling Stones at the height of their powers. The album opens with a rousing rendition of “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” immediately setting the tone for the high-octane performances that follow. Mick Jagger’s charismatic and energetic vocals, combined with Keith Richards’ and Mick Taylor’s electrifying guitar work, create an infectious energy that permeates the entire album. The rhythm section, consisting of Bill Wyman on bass and Charlie Watts on drums, provides a solid and driving foundation that propels each track forward. One of the standout tracks on the album is “Sympathy for the Devil,” which features an extended jam that highlights the band’s improvisational skills. The interplay between the musicians is seamless, and the song builds to a powerful crescendo that leaves a lasting impression. Another highlight is “Midnight Rambler,” a bluesy and atmospheric track that showcases Jagger’s harmonica playing and the band’s ability to create a sense of tension and release. The album also includes a cover of Chuck Berry’s “Carol,” which is delivered with a raw and frenetic energy that pays homage to the rock ‘n’ roll pioneer while also making the song distinctly their own. “Stray Cat Blues” and “Love in Vain” are other notable tracks that demonstrate the band’s versatility and ability to infuse their performances with emotion and intensity. One of the unique aspects of “Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out!” is the inclusion of stage banter and audience interaction, which adds to the live concert experience. Jagger’s playful and sometimes provocative comments to the audience help to create a sense of intimacy and connection, making the listener feel as though they are part of the crowd. The album’s production, handled by Glyn Johns, captures the raw and unpolished sound of the live performances while still maintaining clarity and balance. The decision to keep the production relatively straightforward and unembellished allows the band’s musicianship and the energy of the live shows to shine through. “Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out!” is also notable for being the first live album to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart. It was well-received by critics and fans alike, and its success helped to solidify The Rolling Stones’ reputation as one of the greatest live rock bands in history. In conclusion, “Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out! The Rolling Stones in Concert” is a quintessential live album that captures the essence of The Rolling Stones’ live performances. The album’s raw energy, dynamic musicianship, and engaging stage presence make it a must-listen for any fan of rock music. It stands as a testament to the band’s enduring legacy and their ability to captivate audiences with their electrifying live shows. Product Reviews Hide Show Write a Review
